Seesmic is pretty damned cool

Seesmic, the twitter for video, is pretty awesome. It is currently in super duper, pre-alpha status at the moment, but my new friend Loic, the companies founder, sent over an invite code so I am in baby!
I’m not a video blogger (and some might argue not even a blogger blogger) but Seesmic is such an interesting concept that I might become one. It takes what YouTube has been doing for years (person sitting in front of web cam, talking) and somehow makes sense of it all.
Of course, I could just be under Loic’s mind control because the guy is a superb promoter. To me, he is the French version of Guy Kawasaki.
In any case, being that Seesmic is in alpha it has some issues. It isn’t working properly with my iSight camera on my Mac. Instead, I am able to use the service by recording a video and pushing it to YouTube. That isn’t a big deal, and I am sure they will fix the iSight issue at some point.
Edit: Seesmic does in fact work with the iSight camera. Loic’s suggestion below fixed my issue.
I don’t know how much of a fan I am of an all-Flash ui either, but again I give it a pass as they are still building out Seesmic.
Check out this video below to get an idea about how Seesmic works and see the interface. This video was produced using real clips you find browsing the public video stream.

Cool! Now you can move the video from this morning to Seesmic.
Oh Yeah, and I’m sure Loic will include you in the video tomorrow ![]()

They really need to do those recaps every day. So well produced. I think that was awesome.

Hello, good review, do you have an invitation code to share for Seesmic?

Waynes,
The best way to get an invite would be to find Loic on Twitter or Facebook. Right now I don’t have the ability to invite others - you need to have the Seesmic team send you one.
